BIOGRAFIA:
Leslie William Nielsen (Regina, 11 de fevereiro de 1926 — Fort Lauderdale, 28 de novembro de 2010) foi um ator e comediante canadense!
Nielsen nasceu em Regina, Saskatchewan, filho de Ingvard Nielsen, um canadense de origem dinamarquesa, e Maybelle, que é de ascendência galesa. Teve dois irmãos mais velhos.
Leslie Nielsen foi um dos protagonistas do clássico Forbidden Planet (O Planeta Proibido, no Brasil), de 1956. Fazia o capitão da nave espacial. Também como capitão, participaria do filme The Poseidon Adventure (O Destino do Poseidon, no Brasil), de 1972.
Deu uma guinada em sua carreira quando em 1980 aceitou fazer o médico maluco na comédia cinematográfica Airplane! (Apertem os cintos, o piloto sumiu, no Brasil). O filme era uma gozação absurda com a franquia Airport (Aeroporto), uma das mais bem-sucedidas da década de 1970. Com o sucesso desse papel, Nielsen passou a ser um dos comediantes mais requisitados para comédias desse gênero, inclusive a famosa The Naked Gun (no Brasil, Corra que a polícia vem aí) e que teve mais duas sequências.[3] Outras comédias que participou foi Dracula: Dead and Loving It (Drácula - Morto Mas Feliz, no Brasil), de Mel Brooks, e Repossessed (A Repossuída, no Brasil), com Linda Blair.
À MORTE:
No dia 28 de novembro de 2010 o sobrinho, Doug Nielson, afirmou à estação de rádio CJOB que o ator, que estava internado há 12 dias por complicações devido a uma pneumonia, simplesmente "havia adormecido e faleceu" com familiares e amigos ao seu lado!
